Muslim Portal is a publication of news, features and reflections written for the global Muslim community — the ummah — in all its breadth and variety. Our aim is simple: to cover the life of that community with care, with accuracy, and with a tone that is calm rather than shrill.

We write about mosques and neighbourhoods, about scholarship and family, about art, history and the wider world. We are interested in what unites a community spread across every continent, and in the quiet, everyday work of faith that rarely makes the headlines.
